Scope FEL3 ("Design" Stage) Process Engineering and Procurement for 30,000 BPSD Gasoline Desulfurization Unit & Offsites / Utilities
Role Lead for all OSBL (Outside Battery Limits, Tie-Ins & HSE items)
Tasks
  • HAZOP participant on the Conoco-Phillips "S-Zorb" P&ID's for two weeks with client operations staff, and facilitator
     
  • Obtained existing client drawings/data needed for tie-ins developed multi-page list of tie-ins with existing line nos
     
  • Developed list of other field data collection items needed which were gradually obtained via e-mail and teleconf'ce (not as efficient as just going back for planned site visit)
     
  • Developed ISBL Fire Protection Monitor & Deluge systems plus "Oily Water Sewer" P&IDs for all process drains/hubs
     
  • Developed "Utility Summaries" tables for ISBL plus OSBL, tabulating all gas, liquid and power usages for "S-Zorb".
     
  • Developed nine PFDs and associated P&IDs for OSBL, integrated them across Battery Limits with all utilities
     
  • Developed OSBL Line List & Specialty Items Data Sheets
     
  • Hydraulic analysis of key line-sizing and process pumps,
    using Excel tools that also calculate control valve range
     
  • Reviewed PSV design to ensure only vapors go to flare, & all liquids to unit blowdown drum, it also vented to flare
