| Dad had a wonderful and rewarding life. Unlike Mum he was physically healthy for his age. Heather and I only realised the night before his time with us was coming to an end. We are so thankful it was so quick and peaceful. Dad did not suffer at all. Dad was a very hard worker. His job as head industrial chemist at the Kiwi Fertiliser Works required great skills and intellect. Dad’s work ethics and influence inspired Robert, Heather and I to do the very best we are capable of. Dad spent all of his life helping people. Anyone in need, he was always there, so caring and kind. Complete strangers or family, it didn’t matter, Dad was there. I will miss Dad so much, as I miss Mum.
