The Firm's History
Petrofac's founders came from Howe-Baker in Tyler, TX. The company is now headquartered in London, listed on the stock exchange, with 11,000 people world-wide.  They take seriously their community, people, safety, security, asset integrity and environment responsibilities.

It has Operational centers in Aberdeen, Woking in the U.K, and in Sharjah, UAE, with design support centers in Mumbai and Chennai, India plus joint venture in Jakarta. Offshore Services provides Engineering and Operations Services. Petrofac offers Training Services, co-invests in Energy Development, provides production improvement services - see Case Studies and Image Library for highlights of their projects and services.

Engineering & Construction
E&C in Sharjah represents the majority of the revenue, with income fluctuations smoothed out by revenues from Petrofac oil & gas wells, such as the Don development in the North Sea.

"Petrofac Emirates" now has an office in Abu Dhabi for projects in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia.

HSE Design in Sharjah
Their 35-person HSE Design group - headed up by Raj Kochar - is within Engineering Services.

The plans for Bob's role within this group included risk identification at bid proposal stage, HSE peer reviews of projects in progress, plus working as an HSE Lead within a project task force.

Bob asked to join Integrity group October 2010, also working on Knowledge Management
