The Company History
Petrofac's founders came from Howe-Baker in Tyler, TX. The company
is now headquartered in London,
listed on the stock exchange, with 11,000 people
world-wide.
They take seriously their community, people, safety, security, asset
integrity and environment
responsibilities.
It
has Operational centers in Aberdeen, Woking in the U.K, and in Sharjah,
UAE, with design support centers in Mumbai and Chennai, India.

Services provides Engineering and Operations Services. Petrofac
offers
Training Services, co-invests in
Energy
Development, provides

Engineering & Construction
E&C in Sharjah represents
the majority of the revenue, with income fluctuations smoothed out
by revenues from Petrofac oil & gas wells, such as the
Don development in
the North Sea.
The E&C group is now splitting
into a second office in Abu Dhabi that will do work as "Petrofac
Emirates" just in Abu Dhabi and in
Saudi Arabia.
HSE Design in
Sharjah
Their 35-person HSE Design
group - headed up by Raj Kochar - is within
Engineering Services.
Bob's
role in this group will include risk identification at bid proposal
stage, HSE peer reviews of projects in progress, plus working as an HSE Lead within a project
task force.
