Pennsylvania’s Land Recycling Program
Challenge: Pennsylvania DEP needed to take a fresh approach to
getting Brownfield sites put into productive uses. Their “Brownfields
Directory” was just not attracting any keen interest from the commercial real
estate community, so ICF Consulting was requested to come and re-invent a web-based approach to
listing and finding land for recycling.
 
Solution:
Website PaSiteFinder.com to match potential purchasers to listing
companies, using simple search criteria based on property and building size,
lease or sale price, and county. This web-site is being enhanced to add
spatially-relevant info. for prospective purchasers, such as access &
zoning.
Benefit:
This web-site with its upbeat and interactive style helps reinforce the
message that the State of Pennsylvania is always open for business.
